TRAVEL - OFF SEASON

When flights and accommodation are much cheaper (as well tickets for museums and National Parks)! Our impression is that Croatia is still not enough discovered and many people don’t know that, for instance, sea and air temperature are perfect for swimming from middle of May till the middle of October.

 

 

BOAT TRIP: Vodice - Prvić - Zlarin - Šibenik

Croatia’s Government supports the idea of living on islands. It takes effect on a boat's ticket price that we find more than friendly (one way trip is around 2.5 euros). There are usually 5 departures/arrivals from Vodice per day that gives you enough freedom to make the organization of your trip and visit at least 2 of 1246 Croatian's islands!

When do people ask us which of the two mentioned cities to visit - we say both! Vodice city has an excellent public transport connection to Split and Zadar and one way ride usually takes around 80 minutes. Returned bus ticket costs around 15 euros. 

 

 

MONEY EXCHANGE

The Kuna (HRK) is the currency of Croatia. Avoid exchanges large amounts of money at the airport or in the exchange offices. We advice Splitska Banka (member of the Societe Generale Group). For an amount of 100 € you can save up to 10 €.
